Today In Fact, 29 October

Today in 1949 a remarkable man, George Gurdjieff died in Paris. This man with large eyes and moustaches developed a system of thinking and becoming that sought to integrate mind, emotions and body. Regarded as a charlatan by some and a master by other, it is thanks to Gurdjieff that we have the enneagram, a system of personality traits that has served me well since I first learned of it over a bottle of wine in the rectory of a Liverpool Church in 1987.
